We're pioneering novel pathways to convert captured carbon into high-performance textile materials, building a new foundation for manufacturing.
Technology
We're exploring multiple CO₂ source pathways—including direct air capture, carbon removal from the ocean, and bio-based feedstocks—to supply our conversion process.
Conversion of carbon feedstocks into the essential chemical building blocks for polymer production—the monomers that form the backbone of next-generation materials.
R&D into polymerizing carbon-derived monomers into high-performance polymers for textile and industrial applications.
Process
Carbon sourced from air, ocean, or bio-based feedstocks
Conversion of carbon into target monomers
Polymerization into high-performance polymers
Production of next-generation materials
Vision
The textile industry relies heavily on fossil fuel-based feedstocks and accounts for a significant share of global emissions. We're developing technology to change this equation by converting carbon into the materials we wear and use every day.
In collaboration with UCLA's REACT Lab at the Samueli School of Engineering, we're exploring carbon conversion pathways that offer a new approach to materials manufacturing.
